10 Year Product Warranty - Foundry Finish

Foundry Finish from the Hunter brand is a coated rainwater system which presents the illusion of a cast iron installation.

CONTRACTED PARTIES
Contract between Hunter Plastics Limited and the installer/contractor, home owner, landlord or building management company.

PERIOD OF TIME
10 years from the date of installation, or 11 years from the date of manufacture, whichever is the sooner.
Refer to the conditions of cover in relation to the period of time between the product being manufactured and the sale to the final installer.

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE
The Hunter Foundry Finish product promises to ...
1. Maintain the colour and gloss level to such an extent that the overall general aesthetic effect of the rainwater system is not significantly compromised.
2. Ensure adequate paint adhesion so that the product is fit for purpose to meet its performance expectations.
3. Be free from paint chipping, cracking, delamination or other abnormal inclusions.
4. Provide adequate resistance to the average UK airborne contaminants, so as not to detract from the overall aesthetic effect once installed.
5. Provide adequate resistance to mild surface cleaning products, so as not to detract from the overall aesthetic effect once installed.

The Hunter Foundry Finish product does NOT promise to ...
6. Avoid the effects of "normal wear and tear", such as ....
- The occasional scuff mark which does not detract from the overall performance or visual effect of the installed product.
- Possible paint loss around fixing points (i.e. screw head locations) and other areas where there is a risk of tool damage marks.
7. Be resistant to breakages, fractures or marks caused by vehicular movements or other types of general abuse or miss-use.
8. Be resistant to any undesirable effects caused by foreign items being screwed, attached, hung from the product which are not part of the rainwater system supplied by Hunter.
9. Be resistant to any undesirable effects caused by any planned or unplanned contact with any types of chemicals which are aggressive towards PVC plastics.

CONDITIONS OF COVER
1. The warranty period can only be acknowledged providing the installer/owner formally registers the installation with Hunter Plastics Ltd, using the attached form, also available from the website.

2. The installation must have been made in accordance with the installation instructions, sited in the Technical Support, rainwater section of the Hunter website, www.hunterplastics.co.uk
3. The product application must be in accordance with the product's intended purpose and correctly sized to the roof area (refer to the rainwater calculator located in the Technical Support section of the website).
4. The installation must have been appropriately maintained, ensuring adequate repairs, gutters are kept clear of debris and external surfaces are kept clean (using water and mild house-hold detergent).
5. Interim Storage
During the period of time between the product being manufactured and the sale to the final installer, all product must be stored in the original Hunter packaging.
Fittings shall be stored in cartons or containers, not mixed with any other type of product.
Extrusion (gutter and pipe) shall be stored either horizontally on a well supported frame or upright at an angle which does not force the product to bow.
When an installation is registered, Hunter reserve the right to inspect the premises of the supplying merchant. For this reason, the party registering the installation must provide details of the product supplier on the registration form.
In the event of a claim being made, Hunter must be granted adequate access in order to perform a site inspection.

WARRANTY COVER
In the event that Hunter Plastics Ltd accept a claimant's application, this warranty covers either the supply of identical, or equivalent replacement rainwater materials, to the ones originally supplied by Hunter, or the provision of a credit note to be used for any other Hunter product available through the merchant where the original product was purchased from.

The warranty does not cover the reimbursement of any other costs for example, scaffolding and labour.
