Go Team Hunter!
June 2010
Half way through 2010, one word springs to mind… eventful! I’m starting to realise that ‘eventful’ and ‘busy’ are common trends here at Hunter, but I’m certainly not complaining. This year we really have seen some great achievements…
We kicked off January in style by picking up two NBG awards - In the words of Steve D ‘to my surprise and pleasure I collected on behalf of Hunter Plastics two awards, runner up as Lightside Supplier of the Year and runner up as Overall Supplier of the Year'. Well done everyone!
On a personal note January brought a whole new meaning to being thrown in at the deep end as I started my new role as Communications Manager... yipee! I think I've mentioned it in my previous blogs but I really do love a challenge and this definitely is one. Websites seem second nature to me now but when it comes to literature, communication plans and new product launches the nerves kick in all over again... gulp! So far so good though - I say bring on the challenges head, we have an excellent team of people here at Hunter and I am confident that we will have lots more successes coming up!
In February we were delighted to collect another three awards, this time Buildbase Supplier of the Year awards! What can I say except... go team Hunter! With grins from ear to ear we also attended our first exhibition in February and launched our first new product range, Foundry Finish. A PVC rainwater system that looks just like cast iron! This was closely followed by the 90º Multiclik Pan Connectors which officially launched in March, adding to ever popular range of Multikwik Pan Connectors.
In April we put the finishing touches to our E-Training by adding the new Multikwik module. You'll be pleased to know that the e-training is now available on both our Hunter and Multikwik website... dare you take the training challenge??
May saw the start of things to come with the introduction of our new and improved ‘bin labels'. We've really stepped up our in store point of sale making it ten times easier for both the merchant and end user. I think all the time spent in photography sessions over the last year has paid off with photos of products appearing on every label - it was a great team effort with people involved from all over the business and I'm sure you'll agree it's a massive improvement! Thanks everyone!
PROTEUS our most advanced concealed cistern launched in June and is without a doubt, the perfect solution for practically every bathroom. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming stories in trade journals - it really is a great cistern with endless options!
A busy 6 months I know, before I finish this blog though I feel like I should give you a snake update. It's that time of year when we have lots of little baby snakes making an appearance! It's quite exciting this year as we are a breeding some new snakes for the very first time. Most of our snakes lay eggs but we have two chunky looking sand boas that are live bearers!! Imagine how exciting it will be to check on them and see tiny little babies... I can't wait!!
