Weird and wonderful

First things first, it’s been a while since my last blog so let me tell you why. I’ve had a crazy couple of months and all sorts of weird and wonderful things have been happening…

I'm relieved to say that I made it back from Egypt with no extra passengers. For a while out there I was slightly concerned that Snakehips would attempt to smuggle some unusual creature back to add to our collection.

Thinking about it now the most unusual thing we saw was a camel and that's common out there! Like most tourists, we went for a camel ride in the desert and it was one of the highlights of the holiday, especially when I turned around to discover the camel Snakehips was on had broken free from the group and was rapidly running in the opposite direction! Hee hee! (Sorry no camera at the time!)

A week after my eventful holiday I was still feeling quite refreshed until the whole Dartford area was hit with a 3 day blackout and I found my name on the list for our company quiz night... thanks Mr B!

Actually I can't complain about the quiz it was a really good night and my team finished joint first - well done ‘The Black Cats'! We had 2 directors on our team, including Mr B who some may already know, has a rather competitive side.

With 2 directors on board, everyone assumed our team were bound to win - I would of agreed, until Mr B argued that adults only have 28 teeth and that the hurricane which hit America in 2007 was called Rita! - Gulp!

Moving swiftly on, Mr B and the whole company were exceptionally pleased to hear that Ovation won Professional Builders Merchants ‘Top Product Award for 2008' and was nominated as the second most wanted for July/August this year!

And that's only the beginning... for those of you not reading Mr B's blog, the highlights are:

- New Literature
- Changes in the office
- Changes in the factory
- New Web sites (more info coming soon)

We have more stuff up our sleeve for the remainder of the year, which will help our sales force become more effective than ever before so keep your eyes pealed!

After all this I need another holiday - still only 87 days to Christmas!!...
