Three is the magic number

"Busy..." If I had to sum up the last month in one word that’s what it would be. At work and at home it has been all hands to the pump!

This is one time I wish I was still at school – having a four day weekend was great but 2 weeks off would have been even better! And I must say I was disappointed with the weather, one minute it's nice and the next it’s pouring with rain – craziness! It’s so much easier to get out of bed in the morning when it’s nice and sunny outside, I think it gives you a real boost.

On that note, Steve Dunkley, our Sales and Marketing Director recently picked up three Buildbase Supplier of the Year awards – yes that’s right, three!! Now that was a boost! When I was speaking to him about it he seemed really chuffed but don’t just take my word for it, take a look at his very own words.. "When I picked up the first award I was delighted, when I picked up the second I was over the moon and when I picked up the third, I’ll quote a phrase my boss uses, I was gobsmacked!" He also added "more than anything it gave me a chance to thank Buildbase and of course everyone at Hunter. After all it was everyone at Hunter that won the award for us"

I’m starting to think the number three is our lucky number… first we win the Builders Merchant News supplier of the year award for the third time and then we pick up three Buildbase awards in one day – Go Hunter!

That’s just one the highlights from the last month! We’ve held photo shoots, introduced new export literature, exhibited at Mosbuild – Russia’s largest exhibition and more - thank god for teamwork!

Moving on to home life... that’s been adventurous too! Two of the kids escaped and were on the loose in my house – at the same time - argh!! I know what you’re thinking but once I got over the initial panic and fear that no one would come to my house ever again, we found them. Thinking about it now you could say it was pretty cool... how many people can say that they had 2 snakes escape over their Easter weekend?

All in all I can’t really complain about my Easter.. lots of chocolate and excitement – what more could I ask for?
