Yes – We do listen
May 2009
In the latest edition of the Builders Merchant Journal (BMJ) their market monitor made reference as to what merchants most wanted from their suppliers over the coming months.
79% of respondents wanted lower prices and where possible we are working with our stockists to follow up every enquiry and remain competitive.
79% of respondents also said that they want smaller deliveries from their suppliers. In these difficult times "cash is king". Large stocks consume cash and merchants want their suppliers to reduce carriage paid order value.
We like to believe that we do listen to the market therefore we have taken the decision to reduce carriage paid load values when accepting orders from customers. It will take us a few days to put in the necessary procedures to accommodate these changes: however we will soon be writing to customers informing them of the following changes: -
Stock deliveries (Hunter and or Multikwik brand) - minimum carriage paid load value - £250 net.
Direct to site deliveries (Hunter and or Multikwik brand) - minimum carriage paid load value - £750 net.
There are a whole list of things that merchants want from suppliers and I'm pleased to say that we are doing all that we can to meet these requirements.
By reducing our carriage paid load values we hope that we tick all the boxes our customers want.
