CE Marking of Hunter Plastics Products
The CE mark is not a quality mark, the mark simply indicates that
the product satisfies the requirements of the Construction Products
Directive (CPD) and is based on a harmonized European Standard (hEN).
The CE mark will be a legal requirement from a date as yet to be agreed
by the supervisory bodies.
The Harmonized Standards are not intended as product or system standards;
instead they only cover the aspects of performance relevant to the
essential requirements of the CPD. Publication of all relevant hENs
is expected around February 2006 with full implementation expected
by March 2008.
The Harmonised Standards (hENs) relevant to Hunter Plastics product
portfolio are:

Hunter is a member of the British Plastics Federation (BPF) Pipes
Group. Within this group a CE Marking & Certification Working
Group is operating to ensure that full recommendations are provided
to all member companies regarding the implementation of the CE mark. |
